* there are repairs to this crepe  they are not glaring   The oxide used in the black ink way back then, had a purple hue  that disintegrated and eats away at the crepe   The same thing happened to antique quilts that used that black ink for dying the fabrics  anyway this is common with this mfr crepe     It shows up as a diluted black looking purple like regular pen ink  but it isn’t that’s a part of the pattern.
