Antique Framed Halloween Crepe collection

Early 20th-Century Crepe Paper Panels Preserved Under Glass

Curated and framed by Stephanie Koppmann

This curated collection of framed and matted Dennison Halloween panels celebrates the golden age of American holiday design — a period when imagination, artistry, and mass production converged to define the look of Halloween for generations to come.

Each piece in this series features an authentic Dennison Manufacturing Co. crepe paper panel, produced between 1900 and 1935, and now preserved under glass/high quality polycarbonate to protect its delicate paper surface. Once ephemeral decorations meant to adorn shop windows, party tables, or parlor walls, these panels have been transformed from temporary festivity into enduring works of folk art.

✦ The Artistry of Dennison

Founded in 1844, Dennison was the undisputed leader in holiday paper goods. Their Halloween line — produced primarily between the 1910s and 1930s — captured a unique mix of merriment and mischief, expressed through bold color, silhouette, and humor. The witches, skeletons, black cats, and pumpkins that populate these scenes embody both the playful and the mysterious spirit of early 20th-century Halloween.
