Sugar Traganth Garden Boxes

Lovely handmade garden boxes decorated with handmade silk screened papers. Covered with Sugar Gum Paste and Traganth florals. All handmade and hand painted. They can be used as display only or put some delicious bakers’ specially made cookies inside for that special gift! I usually lay down a paper doily before putting cookies or other edibles inside. These boxes are covered with German gold foils and decorative jewelry trims as well. The German art of traganth florals began centuries ago with German Bakers. Their sugar figurals have lasted over 100 years and bakers still carry the tradition today with few alterations.

Each Garden box comes with my special Springerle (another German bakers tradition)Medallions. I use my antique Springerle Molds to make the medallions. They are molded and painted as well. Each comes with a Mothers Day or Easter ribbon depending on the season.
