Inspired by the early American paper party hats made famous by the Dennison Manufacturing Company, the Victoria William Collection celebrates the artistry and joyful spirit of these beloved vintage novelties while honoring America’s rich coastal heritage.

Standing at the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay, Cape Henry Light has guided mariners since 1792, making it one of America’s oldest lighthouses. Built by order of George Washington, it has long welcomed ships arriving at Virginia’s shores. This design celebrates the enduring beauty of the lighthouse and the rich maritime history that began where the Atlantic meets the Bay.

Each hat is individually handcrafted using archival-quality materials and features original artwork inspired by historic lighthouses, maritime traditions, and cherished seaside destinations. Designed to become keepsakes for generations, they are both works of folk art and celebrations of 250 years of American coastal living.  Slight variations in each hat  

Each hat measures approximately 15” wide × 11” tall and is available in two editions:

Option 1 – Collector’s Display Edition

• Fully illustrated front
• Finished with luxurious satin taffeta ribbons for hanging or display

Option 2 – Classic Honeycomb Edition

• Fully illustrated front and back
• Traditional honeycomb paper insert, allowing the hat to be worn in the style of the festive paper hats popular during the early 20th century
• Finished with luxurious satin taffeta ribbons

Because every Victoria William Collection hat is individually handcrafted, production is intentionally limited. For orders of more than three hats, please contact me prior to purchasing so I can confirm availability and production time.
