Handmade artist Antique Acorn inspired Halloween Lantern

The Woodland Acorn Lantern” – Handcrafted by Stephanie Koppmann  

13” wide and 13” tall. Inspired by the original 1900 era German lanterns.  This whimsical and richly detailed Halloween lantern that feels straight out of a vintage autumn fairytale. Hand-sculpted and painted in lush shades of green, amber, and harvest gold, this piece takes the form of a giant acorn brought to life. Its expressive face features wide blue eyes rimmed in pumpkin orange, a charming buttoned nose with a newly landed locust and a bright orange snout evoking the nostalgic charm of early 1900s papier-mâché holiday characters.

Large paper painted eye inserts glow when lit from behind. Open mouth to show the beautiful interior of the lantern when lit showing a glowing yellow.   Paper festooning around base. Encircling the top is a garland crown of hand-cut paper “straw” fringe, oak leaves, and natural painted acorns—each one lending texture and woodland authenticity. A small green locust perches delicately on its nose, as though whispering forest secrets to its whimsical friend.
