👑 The Black Queen Crow

Handmade and conjured into life by Stephanie Koppmann, this lantern is no simple lantern. She is the Black Queen Crow of the Cornyard—a ruler both enchanting and formidable.

The smaller crows flock to her, bearing offerings. For crows are clever, almost otherworldly. They remember faces, places, and deeds—and they always return to those who feed them, their gifts glinting like secrets carried on wings. Today, one loyal subject lands softly at her side, presenting a marble, another treasure for a queen who craves the shimmer of shiny things.

At her very heart lies a rare relic on her crown: an antique paper mache crow with glass eyes they seem alive. Hard to find, nearly lost to time, this single discovery became the soul around which the Queen was built. From there, her form emerged—her body rising 16 inches tall and 14 inches wide, weighty and commanding.

Her hand-painted paper panels burn from within, glowing a fiery orange against her deep black imagined feathers. The details pull you in—each stroke deliberate, each shadow alive. She is at once whimsical and haunting, a lantern that feels as if it might spread its wings and take flight under a harvest moon.
